THYROID/ STERNUM SHIELD
Today we know that the thyroid gland in every respect
is particularly sensitive to radiation, requiring special protection. It has therefore become commonplace to wear appropriate additional protection for high dosage X-ray examinations.
Our programme offers you two versions of the thyroid/ sternum shield. Both include outstanding features such as rst-class design and ideal t, with radiation protection naturally to the fore.
The well conceived idea behind both versions ensures that one size ts all neck sizes. The uncomplicated velcro fastener gives plenty of scope for individual adjustments. You make your choice depending on which garment from our collection you want to combine with the shield.

Embroidery In many cases, it is advisable to mark X-ray protection clothing with embroidery to indicate that it belongs to a certain person or department. We offer the following possibilities:
• embroidery on a tape applied to the left shoulder seam • embroidery on the breast pocket
However you decide, you dictate the text and we proceed with the embroidery in top quality. Capital letters are the standard here for better legibility. The height of the lettering depends on the length of the text and the number of lines required.

The design of this MAVIG ovarian shield is unsurpassed and meets the requirements of radiology practice, past and present. The radiation load on
the female gonads is reduced considerably without interfering with the diagnostic techniques.
Extensive studies provided the basis for the size and position relation between the anterior iliac vertebrae ( xed point), the ovary shield, and its projection
on the pelvic image. The two control marks that
are permeable to radiation facilitate proper and uncomplicated positioning.
Each of the three sizes is adjustable thanks to the fan shape that allows for optimum ne tuning. A set with all sizes offers the best possible protection for all of your patients.
It goes without saying that the shield is easy to clean and disinfect.
